DESIGN CONCEPT

The project aims for a "Palatial Modern" look. It utilizes symmetry as its primary design principle, splitting the structure into two mirrored volumes. The aesthetic marries Classical European motifs—such as ornate cornices and pilasters—with contemporary industrial textures like laser-cut metal screens.

DESIGN DESCRIPTION

  • Verticality: The building uses continuous vertical pilasters and elongated screen panels to draw the eye upward, making the 6-story structure appear more imposing.
  • Ornamentation: High-relief Corinthian-inspired brackets and moldings define the roofline and floor divisions, providing a sense of historical luxury.
  • The "jali" Screens: Large, dark bronze or black laser-cut metal panels run vertically down the center of each wing. These provide solar shading for the central windows while adding an intricate, rhythmic pattern to the facade.

This design is ideal for high-end urban infill projects where the goal is to maximize square footage while projecting an image of prestige and timelessness. It successfully hides the repetitive nature of apartment windows behind a sophisticated, layered "skin."
